DIVISION 2 – GAMEWEEK 3

4-4!

What! 4-4! Yes! 4-4! Four goals scored by either team. Four goals conceded by both as well. One. Two. Three. Four!

What an exciting game. From 1-0 to 1-1, to 2-1 to 2-2, 3-2, 4-2, 4-3 and finally 4-4! It was breathtaking. Goals literally flying in everywhere. And it is no exaggeration to say that it may very well have been more.

DIVISION 1 – GAMEWEEK 3.

At half time on Sunday, something weird happened. As the referees blew for half time in the 5pm kickoffs, the teams went for their respective team talks.

For all their brilliance and dominance. For all their trophies and triumphs. For all the records they have broken. All the times they have made us gasp in breathlessness, stand in awe, stare in amazement and applaud in appreciation; one thing remained. Great spectacles are defined by compilations of individual isolated moments.

That was the case as Manchester United welcomed Real Madrid for the second leg of a Round of 16 Champions League tie. Ultimately, a night of stars will be remembered for the various moments of bright lights and sporadic darkness.
